International New Year´s & Summer-Intensive-Workshop / Training

This is an intensive training program especially for English speaking people from all over the world.
It´s designed for those who would like to step into a profound and indepth self healing process and further profesional development in "Dance Therapy" and the "Dance of Life Process". It can also be a preparation for people who would like to start with the whole training program in Germany or on Tenerife.

Training Program / Further Education
"Dance of Life" and "Dance Therapy"

Our dance therapy training program is credited by the
German Dance Therapy Professional Association (BTD) 
who also collaborates with the 
American Dance Therapy Association (ADTA).

Besides the vacation seminars Petra Klein also offers a training program on Tenerife. Petra Klein's teaching in the areas of "Dance Therapy" and "Dance of Life" focuses on broad-based theories and practical methods gained over many years of experience.

She teaches the "Dance of Life" within two intensive blocks (each of three weeks). All together it will take about 18 months. In between these two blocks the trainees work on specific assignments in small peer-groups in their native country. After the second educational block the students will apply their knowledge with selected groups of children or adults for a period of 16 weeks under supervision in their country of residence. After having successfully completed the practical work, the student receives a certificate in "Dance of Life".

Dance Therapy

The following step is the specific "depth-psychology-oriented dance therapy training" as a bodily oriented form of psychotherapy. Petra Klein's emphasis is on Humanistic Psychology, Depth Psychology and Transpersonal Psychology and its application to all kind of psychic and psychosomatic disorders and inabilities ranging from neurosis to psychosis.

In order to complete the entire training a period of about 4 years should be calculated. This includes the period of time required for the "Dance of Life". After having successfully completed the training, the student receives a certificate with the title "Dance therapist IIDT".

The prerequisite for entering in one of these training programs is a "vacation seminar" on Tenerife. New training groups begin every year either on Tenerife or in Germany. Next beginning and more about the training in Germany:
